Dubai’s The Fashion Factor 9th Edition held the runway on October 26–27, at The Agenda, Media City, blending glamour, purpose, and international flair. This year, Filipino actress, artist, and fashion icon Heart Evangelista captivated audiences with her elegance and a touch of magic to the evening.
Now, Heart (or Love Marie Ongpauco-Escudero, if we’re being formal) has truly had an inspiring journey. From her early days on television in the Philippines to gracing the international fashion scene, she has evolved from a cherished local star to a name celebrated worldwide. Heart is not merely focused on aesthetics (though she certainly excels in that regard); she brings substance to everything she does. For her, fashion is always infused with heart and purpose, embodying a commitment to uplift and empower those around her.
Heart opened the event in a breathtaking pastel pink gown by acclaimed designer Atelier Zuhra, marking the designer’s first presentation of the evening. “Hi, good evening. I’m sure many of you, if not most of you, are wondering who I am, and believe me, I have questioned that myself in the past. But that’s exactly what it’s all about. It’s finding yourself, losing yourself, downplaying yourself, and finding yourself once again that will turn into a dying one for other people to shine with you, especially those who follow you. I want to honor this award for those who came before me, for those who are here tonight, and to my fellow Filipinos. Thank you so, so much for the 27 years of this adventure. This is amazing. Good evening, everyone, and thank you.”
